USS California teak decking pens by Larry Lorance!

It's always great seeing pictures of pieces made out of our wood but what we really love is being able to be a part of special projects such as this one!
Our batch of USS California Teak Decking is special load of wood to say the least:
- Commissioned in 1919, decommissioned 1947, scraped 1959
- Attacked & sunk at Pearl Harbor in 1941, raised and repaired a year later, used in WWII and Korea
- Cut almost 100 years ago!!!
As mentioned before, it's great to see this wood going into pieces that truly do the wood justice!

Cocoblo curved logs: What project would you use them for?
We just received this unique batch of logs with natural bends to them.
In the past clients have used them for table legs, sculptures or have resawn for chair backs, shelves, etc.
How would you use these pieces?

Chocolate & Vanilla: Sappy Cocobolo Squares.
As we pull orders we usually kick out all squares that have too much white sapwood, however we also know that certain clients are after this neat 50/50 look.
The white sapwood is still fairly dense and turns just as nicely as the dark heartwood.
This unique chocolate/vanilla looks great on a variety of projects such as duck calls, knives, salt/pepper shakers, etc.
We have a healthy pile of these 1.5 inch squares, so give us a call if you are interested!
