"...I just wanted to share with you the pens I made from the USS California wood I ordered form you.
So far, I've given three pens to families of Navy vets who were at Pearl Harbor on December 7. Two served on the California.

It's always great seeing pictures of pieces made out of our wood but what we really love is being able to be a part of special projects such as this one!
Our batch of USS California Teak Decking is special load of wood to say the least:
- Commissioned in 1919, decommissioned 1947, scraped 1959
- Attacked & sunk at Pearl Harbor in 1941, raised and repaired a year later, used in WWII and Korea
- Cut almost 100 years ago!!!
As mentioned before, it's great to see this wood going into pieces that truly do the wood justice!
