What finishes and/or glues are best for Cocobolo or any oily woods??? I've heard wax is the best, but any specific brand? What's the best way to apply it?
G2 Expoxy is special glue for oily woods. I have had great sucess with this over the years. West System is good too. You can purchase these two glues on line. There are some woodworkers who use oil on cocobolo. Russ Filbeck of Palomar Collage has used this on my rocking chair, but he applys it in a special way. I suggest not to use oil or any poly base finished without a laquor base first. Once this is applied then anything can go on top. I have seen too many projects that had to be stripped because the finsh would not dry on cocobolo. Good luck, Mitch Talcove

I heard G2 Epoxy is the best to use when working with Cocobolo, not sure what type of wax though. Maybe Mitch can give a better answer.
