The stash of “Mystery Wood” is here! (We are thinking it is either African Wild Olive or African Mesquite but we won’t know for sure until a sample gets identified by a Forestry lab)

Whatever it is, its dense, dry, mostly all rift/quartersawn, and all pieces have a neat 50/50 heartwood/sapwood contrast. 

We think the stock would work great for glued up tabletops, shelves, knife scales and possibly musical instruments (we have a luthier milling up some stock as we speak into guitars sets and fretboards so he will get back to us in regards to workability and tonal qualities)
