A little bit of everything in this load-Burl rounds, bookmatched 5/4 flitches, 3" thick stock, crotches. We are really happy with this load and can't wait to take individual pictures of each slab for the "Slabs Page" of our website.
Until then, here is a little run down on some of the new pieces-
The walnut burl rounds are definitely the highlight of this latest load-great figure, nice sizes, natural edge. Although they are a little dirty and unsurfaced at the moment, the closeup shot above should give a good indication of what these will look like once finished-just beautiful!
Like our last load a few months ago, we received a handful of sets of bookmatched 5/4 flitches with some great figure. These can be laid up in a variety of ways for different projects and like we have in the past, we will be giving great discounts if you plan on purchasing more than just one!
Looking for walnut crotch slabs? A handful of neat slabs were included in this load (coffee tables!)
The "thick" slabs that we received are pretty neat. As mentioned before, although all are a bit dusty and unsurfaced, it's still pretty easy to see the tight curly figure on the faces and along the edge of each slab.Can you imagine what these slabs will look like once they are properly sanded and finished?!
