Jose is an excellent craftsman that always amazes us with his pieces.
Upon picking up this Redwood base, he assured us that this piece would be no different.

According to Jose, the base has been silver coated and he plans to match it up with an elegant custom glass top.
(Partially finished base)Jose plans to sand and oil the end grain on the top side of the base so that the natural color of the wood will be visible through the glass top.
This one of those projects that you have to see and feel in person to really appreciate.
We love how every natural detail of the outside of the base is still visible despite being completely covered in silver.
Jose also has a clear vision of where the finished coffee table will end up-
"..in a contemporary San Diego home overlooking the Pacific Ocean..."
We can't wait to see the finished piece!
